Earlier today, Volkswagen CEOs and R&D teams were giving presentations on three focus fields for future technologies — automated driving, connected driving and clean driving — to invited visitors and with a live online broadcast. The GEISTT team are excited to see how the simulation capability and virtual control room supporting HMI concept development is included in the presentations, first time briefly around 0:22 min. as part of the intro video and then several times as part of Scania CEO Henrik Henriksson’s talk, for example around 56:42-56:57 min. The views of a simulated environment with futuristic trucks as well as various control room displays and HMIs are all examples of how GEISTT support Scania’s development of Autonomous Transport Systems (ATS), soon to be operational live for mining operations at different sites around the globe.
